Installing XP Pro hangs on screen that says press enter to continue

i am having a problem with my win XP pro, when i go to
install it will boot from cd and load files at start but
when it asks me if i would like to continue with the
installation by pressing enter, it hangs...

The system information is as follows
p4 2.66 (533 mhz)
512 ddr ram (333mhz)
Gigabyte GA-8S648FX running a sis648FX chipset
20 gb hdd
Geforce FX5200

does anyone know of any incompatabilty issues?? or why
this would occur. Your help would be much appreciated

Make sure that your motherboard has a BIOS which would run XP. Some
Gigabyte motherboards needed a BIOS update for XP.
