Installing windows xp pro sp2

I just got a new copy of xp pro and when i try to install it it goes fine
till i get to the first restart then the loading screen comes up but the bar
never moves and my hard drive light goes out. I though it was a problem with
my computer but if i reinstall my xp home it works fine.my xp pro is a oem
verision i got from a computer store when i bought some new hard ware so i
got that too.

Just a quick suggestion, if you have any USB hardware attached to the pc
then remove it. For that matter all external hardware, i.e. printer, modem,
scanner, etc should be removed. Once you have done this try installing again
