Christine

I receive a message from Setup that Drive C: is corrupt
and unable to complete the installation of Windows XP.
I have reformatted the hard drive and deleted Norton Anti-
Virus. There were two conflicts, one with hardware the
second with a software. I will try again after
disconnecting the hardware issue. What else might be
causing this problem?

Christine, I would remove and then create a new partition first with the
WinXP CD.
