Installing Windows Messaging

I am trying to install Windows messaging on my workstation at my office, but for some reason every time I try to run the install.exe, it starts, then after a few seconds it just disappears(I was watching the process in task manager).The company I work for wants us to use this as the preferred inter-personnel messenger, but I can't even get it to install to configure it!! Does anyone have any knowledge of what is causing this to happen? I'm not getting stopped due to insufficient rights, and no errors during or after the program stops running. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Are you using the correct version, i.e., is it the version designed for Win2K?
