I had to restore my computer Windows XP. I know I am
entering the correct 25 character product key code to
start windows;however, it's said invalid. What can I
being doing wrong

It was no my computer when purchased from Gateway. All
other softwared reinstalled perfectly. The window word
will not accept the 25 digit key code. Called Microsoft,
was given new code--it does not work.
Thanks for any advice

Is it a Gateway OEM CD? Is it a Recovery Disk or a full version of WinXP.
Gateway had no answers for you?

The CD came with computer from Gateway. The CD title is
Microsoft - Works Suite 2002 with Works 2002 setup,
Microsoft Work, Works and Clipart on it. No Gateway told
me to call Microsoft which I did to no avail. Microsoft
asked were the disk was purchased. I was given two type
of 25 digit codes--two different. One for retail purchase
and on for OEM. This are full version of the Gateway
restoration disk. Then I had to use the Application and
Works disk to get everything back on the computer.
Followed all instructions perfectly. Only problem unable
to use Word which I need desparately.
