Installing Win XP Pro on 2nd hard drive

Hello. Here's the deal. I've installed and partitioned a
new 2nd drive on my computer. I'm looking for some
specific advice on exactly how to install Win XP Pro on
this new drive. I have a Win XP Pro CD-ROM. How do I
access the new drive in order to install XP on it? Can I
do it in Windows from my original drive using the disk? Or
do I have to boot up with the disk? If I boot up with the
disk, will there be an option to install XP on a new
drive? I'm new at this so any specific advice would be
greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I have been through this a lot today trying to fix my
problem (posted under the name T.N.) but here it is

If you boot from the CD, It will run setup and give you
the option of installing Windows XP.

Select that and go through the license agreement.
Once through there, you should see a screen that allows
you to select which drive you wish to install Windows on
to.
If everything is good to go, your new drive should appear
there. Simply select it and proceed from there.

Hope that helps. If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me.

T.n., many thanks for your great advice. I booted up with
the disk and, like you said, I can select which drive to
install XP on. Your help is very much appreciated. Cheers.
