Installing win xp help

Joel

hey there,

I just built a new computer and now that I'm installing
windows I'm running into problems: When I first have to
format my HD and stuff I do that-then it installs
windows. When it reboots and then should go into the
final steps of installing, it brings me to the same page
and reinstalls that thing again, and again, and again. If
I take the intallation CD out it gives me a "drive boot
error PLEASE INSTERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER." And I
can't get past that part. Any help would be awesome

Just wonder: Are you clicking the "boot from CD" more than once or just the
first time you are offered a choice? If you select boot from CD, other than
the very first prompt, you will go into an endless loop.

I'm not sure I understand your situation so, take this for what it's worth.

LOL, JAX

.
Hello
when you boot the first time from CD do not hit any keys
to boot from CD after formating and stuff it will restart
and the (press any key to boot from CD) message will
appear just let it go and it will continue with setup
Hope this helps
Jim
