installing W64

H

Hector Escarpita

I have downloaded XP 64 from the web site and burned it to a CD
I later double clicked on the cd and the installation begins however I get
an error message that I am missing
Rnenu.msi and it does not move from there.
Any help for this poor windows enthusiast?
I am installing it on a HP Pavillion system with an AMD 64 3000+ CPU
I have Windows XP home edition and Office XP
a Couple of Virus programs that currently are not active
Any and all help are inmensly appreciated

Once you burn the CD successfully using your software "burn image"
function - you boot from the CD - you cannot run the setup from inside
another OS.
Also please use the correct newsgroup for support of the Customer Preview
Program as listed at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/64bit/x64/trial/support.mspx
(This is for both Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 x64 CPP editions)

Please repost to the correct newsgroup. We are no longer in beta.
The x64 builds of Windows are peer to peer supported in

microsoft.public.windows.64bit.general

(if your news server does not host it yet then you can get it from
msnews.microsoft.com)
