Installing sqlserver on xp

I'm unable to install sqlserver2000 on my windows xp
professional o/s ..It will be great if someone could
suggest regarding this...
I didn't install any service packs...

You can only run either SQL Server 2000 Personal or Developer Edition (Version 7)
on Windows XP Pro. SQL Server 2000 Standard or Enterprise will only run
on a Server version of Windows.
