installing software

when i try to install quicken 2002 my computer says "The system file is not
suitable for running MS_DOS and Microsoft Windows Applications" I have
microsoft windows xp home edition. Why can't I install this program?

Thanks for responding. It's not working, every time I type in the comands
and press enter the computer says "destination is not a directory" any ideas
why-or what to do next?
