installing sbc/yahoo DSL

When attempting to load the Program off the CD, I hit a snag trying to get
from the second step to the third. A message comes up:
The window is titled "MS Visual C++ Debug Library"
The message: Debug Error!
Program C\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplorer.exe
abnormal program termination

After talking to tech support at sbc, they said I needed a "DOS prompt
window"

Any help on how to do this?

Click on "Start", then "Run", type in "CMD" (without the
quotes) and press "enter" key. I'm assuming you have
Windows XP. After pressing "enter", Your DOS box will
open.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that there is not the 'Run" command in my Start
menu. I believe I have XP Professional. Can "Run" be accessed from some place
else or put in in my Start menu?

You can enable the Run command from Taskbar and Start Menu Properties - Start
Menu tab.

If you are using the (New) Start Menu, under Customise - Advanced tab, Start
menu items, you will find "Run command". If you are using the Classic Start
Menu, under Customise - Advanced Start menu options, you will find "Display
Run".
