Installing Publisher 2000 on Windows XP

I just purchased a used computer which is running on
Windows XP Professional. I tried to install Office 2000
(specifically Publisher) and it will not allow me to do
so. Any suggestions? Will it run on this platform?

Hi

MS Publisher from the Office 2000 CD installed here and works without any problems. Are you getting any error messages when the installation fails?

Like Will, I have installed Office 2000 Pro -- including Publisher -- on my
XP Home box without any problems.

Is O2K installing, but you are not able to access the application? Are you
having problems with the actual install of Publisher? Are any other Office
2000 applications besides Publisher installing successfully?
