installing programs

Because of an issue I have with lnk files, I have to open my programs
from cmd , but I cant install programs from cmd . Any suggestions ?
 
Hi Stephen,

Maybe you could try fixing the .lnk file association first. You don't
say exactly what the issue is, but Doug Knox has a set of fixes for
file associations. His site is here:

Scroll down and click on the LNK (Shortcut) Fie Association Fix.
