Installing Norton Firewall using AOL

I have installed Norton firewall but am no longer able to
log onto AOL. I get an error message that I have to
remove the firewall that is part of Windows XP. I havent
read or ever heard anything about a firewall being part
of the Windows XP software.I had to uninstall the Norton
software to have access to AOL again.
I could sure use some help on getting this straightened
out.

Right click on My Network Places, click Properties, right click on your
internet connection icon, click properties, click Advanced tab, uncheck box
enabling XP firewall.

You have to configure the firewall to allow internet communication and
make sure that it is not set to block all traffic.
