when i install new drives for my video card i uses the .exe. so you cant use
update driver in device manager. before you install the new divers you have
to unistall the old ones, but when i reboot windows xp automaticaly install
the old drivers again. what can i do to stop this!

i tried to delet the old drives from the system 32 file, and i tried it
insafe mode, but it still wont work.

use the zip version and then update your drivers from device manager, most
new driver have an uninstall utility and will do this for you

i have a gforce 4 card and i dont think you can get a zip version like that.
i think you have to use the install .exe

Hi Ken,

Majority of the time, when you use the new driver .exe, it
will uninstall the previous driver and install the new
one, then ask you to reboot. I have used the .exe program
for driver updates all the time and never had problems
with it replacing the previous driver.
