Installing MS Word 2000

Frank

I cannot install Word 2000. I get the following message
when I run the install program: "This installation
package could not be opened. Contact the application
vendor to verify that this is a valid windows installer
package". What can I do to install this. It was on my
computer (windows 98) before I installed XP Home. Thanks
for any assistance.

How are you trying to install? Are you using a MS retail Word 2000 CD
to install the program? Sounds like you're attempting to install Word
2000 from an OEM CD that came with your Win98 machine.
