Installing more parts of Office 2003 with another registration key

I rushed out to buy Outlook 2003 a year or more ago, without updating
the rest of my Office 2000 applications. Now I bought the entire Office
2003 suite, but it of course has a different registration key. Will
this cause any problems? Is it wiser to install the entire new Office
2003, overwriting my other Outlook 2003, or just installing Excel,
PowerPoint and Word from 2003 and leaving my current Outlook 2003 alone
with its different registration key? Or does it matter at all either
way?

Also, if I install Outlook 2003 as part of my Office update, I presume
it will keep my personal folder and my settings. Is that correct?

You could do a custom install and not install Outlook. If it was me I would
backup the relevent Outlook folders and account information and uninstall it
and install everything from the CD. There is a outlook NG at
microsoft.public.outlook you might get more informed answers there, this is
specifically Windows XP. There is also office.setup and office.misc groups
as well.

Try asking them here.
