Installing iTunes

I recently downloaded the latest iTunes into my computer after I bought my
new iPod (since the older version isn't compatible with the new nano). Once
the installation is complete and I restart, my computer opens in safe mode. I
don't know why and it's annoying considering I can't put my music. So I have
to restore my computer prior to the installation. Does anyone know why it my
computer opens on safe mode and is there anyway to fix it? Thanks.
