installing ipod software, getting invalid command line argument.

when I try to install my ipod shuffle software, I get stuck when it asks
where I want the file stored on my computer... no matter what location I
choose, it gives me an error: ERROR 1639 Invalid Command Line Argument...
contact windows installer SDK for details. Someone help!
