Installing Exchange2003 Enterprise over Exchange2003 Standard

Has anybody done an install of the Enterprise Edition over the Standard? As we progressed with our conversion from 5.5, the store is almost at the 16 gig limitation. When installing the Enterprise, do I select a new Exchange server installation, forgo the Forest and Domain preps, and let it recognize an Information Store already out there or do I select to add another exchange server and just direct it back
Is this a smooth upgrade?
