Installing different XP versions on the same HDD

Do I have to install them in different partition? Or I can install them in
the same partition?

I think that the XP setup program will advise against it. If you manage to install both on the same partition you could very well run into Registry problems.

Then the only version of windows you have will be the one
you installed last.
They will write over each other if you try it on the same
partition.

It is possible in principle to install to separate windows folders
giving the second instance a differently named folder (say to windows
and window2). But they will at the very least fight over Program Files,
and not achieve whatever the intention of having two copies may be
