Installing Business Contact Manager 2003 on Vista

Can you please explain how I can reinstall Business Contact Manager for
Outlook 2003 onto a PCV running Vista Business Edition. (I did have it all
running OK, but then had to do a complete system restore.) Now BCM won't
install onto Vista from the original CD, and I can't install SP4 (which
presumably has the Vista compatibility fix) without haveing BCM already
installed.

Any help gratefully received.

Hi Rod
Could you please provide us with the error message that you are seeing
during installation? Also, if possible, provide with error logs that you can
find at

C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp directory. Files would be MBSsetup*.
on Vista

Thanks

Apologies for the delayed response, but I have been away from my PC in the
meantime.

It appeared that BCM had loaded succesfully when I repeated the loading
routine today, because no error messgaes appeared and the last screen message
said it had installed OK and that I should re-boot the PC. However, having
re-booted, BCM doesn't open when I open Outlook 2003.

I then installed SP4 for Outlook 2003 with BCM ... and got the error message
saying SP4 had failed to install and to see C:\.......MBSsetuptmp9A7F.log,
but no such file exists.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Did Sql Server 2005 get installed--is it in the list of installed
programs? If yes, try installing BCM again. If not, try installing Sql
Server 2005 SP2 directly, and then BCM again.
