installing an ipod

We have given my son an ipod for christmas, but when trying to install this
an error comes up stating that it is unable to install the installwizard . I
have turned off the spyware, and norton antivirus and even tried turning the
fire wall off but nothing has helped. I need some serious help since I know
very little about any of the this.

On the Apple web site under the Support tab go to Discussions. On the Apple
Discussions page, go to the Digital Life section and click on iPod. On
Category: iPod page chose a discussion that best fits your needs.

I received an iPod Shuffle for Christmas and everything installed very well.
Before I installed the iPod software with the installation disk I went to
the Apple site and downloaded the current version of iTunes. This also comes
with Quick Time. I just did this so I could put some audio CDs in the iTunes
library before I used my iPod.

Good luck with in Install CD and hope you find a way to install it. Also, I
hope you find the Apple Discussion site helpful.

Hello. I am also having Ipod trouble. I did not receive an installation
disc with my ipod shuffle. Did you have it from a previous ipod? Thanks.

I have also given my daughter an ipod shuffle but I am having real trouble
trying to even charge teh ipod. When I put it into the usb piont it flashes
orange for a couple of seconds and then nothing when I remove it it does a
flash of green and that is it.My mother bought the ipod and it came with no
disc is that correct.
