Installing Adshield 1.2 in Windows XP

Has anyone had any success installing the free version of Adshield
(v1.2)in Windows XP (Home Edition) for multiple users? What I want is
for EACH of three users to be able to right-click a web page and
access the Adshield options "add to block list", "maintain block list"
and "adshield option settings". If you have, please describe how you
did it.

I've tried installing as an Administrator, but Adshield didn't work at
all. I also tried installing into one user account. That user had all
the options available. The other users had Adshield working, but no
right-click options. They were stuck with what the first user chose.

How do I install AdShield on a multi-user system(ex. windows xp)?

a.. Download the adshield user
setup program and save it to a local file
a.. Log on to the user account for which you'd like to enable the AdShield interface.
a.. Run the AdSetup.hta setup program downloaded in step one by double clicking it in
Windows Explorer.
a.. The setup program will indicate that the AdShield interface is enabled or disabled for
the user.
a.. To enable the interface click on "Click here to enable AdShield interface for...".
a.. To disable the interface click on "Click here to disable AdShield interface for...".
a.. You may need to log off and log back on again before the changes are apparent.

I use to run the adshield faq page at but since adshield went shareware there hasn't been
a new release in a long time so i took the page down

Thanks for the speedy answer, Cashman. I searched all over the net for
a way to use the free version of Adshield with multi-user Windows XP.
Couldn't find the answer till you posted it a few hours after I posted
my question. I've followed your instructions, and it works. So,
anybody else that wants to keep using the free version, download the
small file Cashman recommended-- AdSetup.hta, and follow his
instructions.
