installing Adobe Acrobat reader 7

Guest

I have a Dell 3000 and Windows XP. I have AdAware, SpyBot, Microsoft
Anti-Spyware and RegScrubXP. I can download Adobe Acrobat reader but I am
unable to install it. It freezes with the Adobe Acrobat Download Manager and
I can't get it off my screen. Also...please bear with me here, I'm a
novice....I submitted this question a little while ago and received an email
that I had an answer but I don't know where to go to find it! This is my
first experience. Would any of the spyware I have installed prevent the
Adobe installation??
Thank you.

Uninstall previous version of the Adobe Reader before installing the new
version will avoid problems.
Also when installing new software you may have better luck not to have
anything running except the operating system.

I've never seen the Adobe "Download Manager" cause anything but
problems. Download the entire installation package to your hard drive
and then start the installation.
