Good idea to do that. No harm.

I'm assuming it is not the same exact model. If it is differentr, it
will have no effect on the computer as the printers are identified as
different entities to the computer. If you may use both, keep both
scanners on, if you will never use that printer again, you could remove
teh driver, but it *could* remove part of a module you may still call on
every so often.
