Installing a game demo

Hey there !

I have a question about installing game demo's in vista ultimate. As a game
reviewer, i gotta download and install several demos, but now in vista when i
download a demo and try to install it..nothing happens, the whole computer
freezes. Iv tryed to open the installing as a system manager..and with
windows xp service pack 2, with no luck. What i suppose to do ?

Have you asked the game manufacturer about Windows Vista
compatibility?

I assume you mean Compatibility Mode?
Try other settings in the Compatibility Mode page.
Make sure you have the latest updates and drivers.

Sounds like something busted with your system, or the demo is bad, or one of
100 other possible problems.

Which game demo? What is your system make/model?

Just wait a few minutes, if the file is a large executable it can take a
while for the UAC dialog to appear.

You can try turning off UAC and see if that helps, remember that UAC is
annoying but performs a valuable and useful function.

In your review don't forget to mention the installation difficulties!
