Installing 32 bit or 64 bit Vista upgrade

Dave

Hi Guys,

I have just rec'd the January release of the Microsoft Action Pack which
includes Vista Business edition upgrade.

Am I right in saying that if I have Windows XP Pro 64 bit edition installed
on my machine, this version of Vista will upgrade to the 64 bit edition of
Vista ??

And likewise for the 32 bit edition, i.e. if I have XP Pro 32 bit edition
installed on a machine and run the Vista business upgrade, am i right to
assume that it will upgrade to the 32 bit version of Vista.

Many thanks in advance,
Dave

No. Just because you have the 64bit xp installed it wont automatically
install the 64bit version. You need the 64bit disk.

You cannot do an upgrade install from XP 64 bit edition. But you are
eligible for the upgrade edition.
