Every time I click on the desktop icon to open Registry Mechanic or Cakewalk
Pyro Plus, the Windows Installer dialog window pops up momentarily and then
quickly disappears. It's irritating, and suggests that there must be a
corrupted entry somewhere in the Registry. However, I haven't been able to
find related entry.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps several times, but the problem
persists.

I have also run the Windows Installer Clean-up program that you mentioned
above, but neither app shows up on the list of installed programs.

Can anyone help, please?

Have you resolved this problem yet. The windows installer error affects
Registry Mechanis rendering it useless, Fidelity Active Trader and some
programs in Windows Explorer.
