Installer Question

I recently got a new Canon G3 digital camera that came with software. When I
try to install the software I get error 1607 which is the installer can't
find the script. Now I've gone to the Canon site and looked up the problem
and it sends me to http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108340 and
I've done every thing that it says with the same results. Any one out there
have any ideas of a way to fix this. Is there a place or way to reinstall
the installer that comes with Windows XP pro. I have all the latest updates
and other programs install fine.

Your camera uses compact flash memory. As such, you can purchase a
small CF reader that hooks to your computer via USB. When the CF
card is plugged into the reader, your computer will "see" it as
removable media. All your photos can then be seen, copied, printed,
etc.

No need to install the Canon software. I have never installed the
software for my Nikon camera and have had no problems. Of course the
choice is yours.

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 and it will up/download to the camera direct without
a card reader. I've been using it since I got the camera. I just would like
to get the canon software installed as it has some features I would like to
check out.
