installer problems

hi i have been having trouble downloading my apple ipod
to my cpu...it is compatible with XP
unfourtunatly i continue to recieve an interuption message

it either says 1607 installshield running script error or
1603

i have contacted Dell, apple, and even install shield all
to no avail

i really need some assistance so if anyone can help it
would be appreciated
