Installer Fails on Windows 2000 SP3

L

Larry Herz

I have several software packages that I am deploying
using an .msi based install. I have one, however that the
install refuses to run past the welcome screen when
installing on a machine running Windows 2000 with SP3.
Testing has confirmed that the .msi will run on SP4, but
the intended customer for this product have not as yet
approved SP4 within their environment.

Is there any info on what may have been fixed in SP4 to
solve this problem, and are any of the files available to
be deployed outside of SP4????

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Larry

Hi Larry,

Verbose logging is the best way to determine where and why your installation is
failing. Once you the log, post it here if you need help interpreting it.
