Installed XP, now no sound!

Hi, folks:
Well, I upgraded to XP (from Me), and now my speakers don't have sound. I
thought it was my sound card, so I purchased and installed a new one (Santa
Cruz by Turtle Beach), but it doesn't work either. I can hear sound if I
plug in headphones to the speaker jack, but other than that, nothing. I've
been to every web site there is, downloaded and installed every driver and
update that there is, talked to every tech support person that there is. My
system is from Gateway (they were no help), the speakers are Boston
Acoustics Digital BA735 (their tech support was no help), my sound card is
from Turtle Beach (they were no help), and as I stated earlier, my OS is XP
(so you KNOW they passed the buck).
I'm stumped. Anyone else have this problem? What did you do?
Thanks!
Weez

Sounds like (no pun intended) speaker problems. If you can hear it through
you head phones, then everything in the computer and sound card up to the
jack is working. It's ether a wiring issue or an internal amp or hardware in
the speaker itself. Borrow a set of speakers and plug them in and let us
know.
