Installed Security Updates. Now get blue screen on boot up!

I installed KB890175 and KB891711 on my W2K Pro machine this evening. When I
went to reboot, I got halfway through the white windows screen with the
progress bar and the the blue screen.

I logged onto the recovery console and found the $NtUninstallKB890175$ and
$NtUninstallKB891711$ directories. I assume these can be used to back the
updates out. I can't figure out how. Can some one help me?

Hi,

Please describe the error message with error code as displayed on the
screen. You may be able to recover by booting into Safe mode.

Thanks.

I have the same problem with my W2K Pro installation. Installed the latest
couple of security patches last night and when I restarted, I got through the
white logo screen, then a blue screen flashed for about 0.1 sec, then the
computer rebooted itself. I don't even get to see what the BSOD says. I am
unable to boot the computer in any safe mode using the F8 startup option (I
get to the option page and select safe mode but the same rebooting occurs.
I'm guessing that it was the same security updates that epignosis installed
since I don't know how to get to the point where he saw the uninstall files.

Was there a solution on how to back out the update files?

Thanks.

Joel
