Installed a radeon 9700 and everything on screen appears red.

I just installed a radeon 9700 agp card, and when I boot
up my computer everything appears in shades of red. even
the post information appears this way. I have connected
the external power connector to the power supply. My
power supply is a skyhawk 400w model AL-400w. Since it's
400w I don't think power would be the issue would it?
Please help.

Could be bend or pushed-in pin on your cable.

The cable connecting the the card or the power-supply? I
have looked at the cable connecting to the power supply,
and the wires did seem loose, but I connected them to my
hard drive and it turned on. So I am confused

Well, since I could not get the 9700 card working, I have
switched back to my previous radeon 7000 agp card and it
works fine displaying all colors with no hiccups. I
guess I should return the 9700 for exchange since I am
using the same monitor cable?

Yeah it hurts me to see it sitting here next to me and
knowing that I have to send it back. I won't have
another for about a 1 1/2 weeks because of shipping
delay. Thanks for you help though.
