Hi

Yes, XP can be installed from 'DOS', but why not let the CD install XP for
you?

From 'DOS' - boot with a Win ME/98 EBD and select 'With CD Support', format
the hard drive/partition if need be, then put the XP CD into the cd drive,
change to the i386 folder and run winnt.exe. Don't forget to run Smartdrive
before starting the installation, otherwise it may take hours.

If you haven't got a Win ME/98 EBD, you can get the files from
www.bootdisk.com. The file for running Smartdrive can be found on a Win 95
CD.
