installation with cluster sizes >4K

I have been trying to install windows xp onto a ntfs partition with a cluster
size of 64K (partition is 80Gig). When it goes into setup (booting off of
cd), it gives me a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error dealing with ntfs.sys. I
am assuming it is giving me this error because it was not made to support >4K
clusters (therefore the nonpaged area addresses would be off and would give
the error). BTW, I know that over 4K does not support compression but I don't
care. I was wondering if anyone else has been able to install on a NTFS
partition >4K? If not, maybe Microsoft could incorporate support in the
future.

A 64 KB cluster size can create compatibility issues with some applications.
For example, setup programs do not compute free space properly on a volume
with 64-KB clusters and cannot run because of a perceived lack of free space.

When performing a clean install, Microsoft recommends that NTFS be used (4KB cluster)
and that the system be installed in a single partition on each disk. Under Windows XP,
big partitions are better managed than in previous versions of Windows. Forcing installed
software into several partitions on the disk necessitates longer seeks when running the
system and software.

Oh well, not that I absolutly needed 64K clusters. Thanks for all the
research and help.
