I have windows XP and I cannot get any sound out of my
computer. I'm new to this whole computer thing and I'm not
sure weather or not I even have sound devices installed.
Please point me in the right direction.Thank you.

Do you have connectors on the back of your PC to which you can connect
speakers? Did the PC come with speakers?

Is there a pink, green and black set of connectors (with or without anything
attached) on the back of the PC case?

If yes, you have audio hardware.

Did you setup the PC according to the manufacturer's instructions that now
come with any new PC?

If you install the Bel Arc Advisor it will list any audio
devices installed. www.belarc.com free download.

Open Control panel and check all the sound and audio
settings.
