Installation of Outlook 2003 to Dell Inspiron Mini 10 fails

I have a new Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook - I need to have Outlook in order
to activesync my Pocket PC - I have a disk and product key for Outlook 2003 -
when I try to load this - all starts well until after I enter the product key
- then I get a message saying the installation can not proceed as the source
has been corrupted. There's nothing wrong with the disk as it loads on my
other PC. The operating system is XP home edition. I have to transfer the
disk contents on a flash memory stick or plug in hard drive as the Dell has
no disk drive. Help - any solution?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I am pleased to say that I've solved the problem.

I bought an external CD drive on ebay and plug it in and loaded my disk and
everything worked as normal.

There must be something in Outlook or Windows that has been put there to
prevent piracy and so Outlook 2003 doesn't work unless it's loaded from the
original disk. I would emphasise that I do have a registered copy but until
getting the disk drive had no means of loading to the Netbook other than by
trying to transfer on a memory stick or plug in hard drive.

I hope this helps any other Mini purchasers who face a similar problem
