Installation error

While uprading from Windows XP Home addition to Windows XP Proffesional I
recieved an error during the registering components section of the
installation. The dialog box is as follows:
_____________________________

unregmp2.exe- entry point not found

The procedure entry point GETIUMS could not be located in dynamic link
library MSDART.dll

______________________________

The dialog will not go away withoout restarting the computer, so I cannot
continue with the installation. I have restarted three times, and each time
after the setup restarts, I get the error at the same spot. At this point I
do not know how or if I can get bak to the previous version of xp, and
appearantly I cannot continue setting up to the new version. Any guidence
would be greatly appreciated.

When the problem occurs, press: Shift + F10 to bring up the
Command Prompt. Then type: Taskmgr.exe in the DOS window
and press Enter. The Task Manager should be started. If
not, try to press: C + Shift + ESC. In the Task Manager
program, select the error messsage window in the
application list and click "End Task". In the Process
List, terminate the Unregmp2.exe program. Exit the DOS
prompt window and resume the installation process.

Thanks for the tip. I did this and was able to get to the task manager, but
the error dialog will not die, or dies for a split second and reopens. Any
more ideas.

P.S. Sorry for the cross post - I am kinda desperate, so I thought I would
try a second group - didnt mean to waste your time answering twice.
