Installation Error

I downloaded the AntiSpyware from Microsofts website and
tried to install it. It gives me the following error
"msiexec.exe has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".

I am not sure what the problem is. If I use the add
remove software link it gives me another error rundll as
an app has encountered a problem and cant run or something
like that.

Any suggestions would be GREATly appreciated.
