installation database is not valid

I downloaded a trial program and the installler "tarma" said "the
installation database is not valid"
download cancelled

Can someone tell me what this means and how do I help myself????? eesch!

Contact the author's of the trial program that you are trying to
install.

This has nothing to do with Windows XP, but probably indicates that the
download was corrupted, and possibly is damaged on the server you took it
from. You'll have to ask the author of the program, whatever it is.
