Installation crashing

Yesterday i was told to do a repair install of XP, whilst
also removing all peripheral USB devices to prevent the
installation setup crashing on 34 minutes. This I did, but
unfortunately it didn't reslove the problem of crashing at
exactly 34 minutes. Does anyone have any other resolutions
to this problem, short of performing a clean install, and
losing my existing data.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Alex.

I am also having the same problem. I now have 3 partial
installations of XP on my machine, and each one crashes at
exactly 34 minutes. The screen also goes blank and then
comes back with a weird, vertical line wallpaper looking
design, but is completely unresponsive.

Any help for myself and my unfortunate counterpart below
would be greatly appreciated!!

Take out the network card or disable it if it's onboard. If that doesn't
work, take out everything that isn't essential to the installation -- the
modem, sound card, etc.

Hey Guys,

Last night I removed all non-essential hardware from my
machine, modem and NIC, and also disabled the on board USB
support in the BIOS, i then ran another install process
and it worked. Way hey!!!!

Didn't crash on 34 mins, thank god and i kept all my data,
and programs.

My advice would be to try this!!!
