installation accounts

Hi,
could anyone help me please. Is there any way, apart from giving full admin
permissions that I can set up a user account which will allow for
installations of software.
Any help would be appreciated...

Power users can install software. You can use Power Users in XP Pro by
running lusrmgr.msc, but Power Users are not available in Home Edition.
