Can I install XP on a FAT32 formatted drive? Also, I have a Win98se system
and want to know if XP will support more of the 98se programs than 2000 pro
will? Thanks!

Yes you can install Windows XP no a FAT32 drive, but some older program are
not supported by Windows XP. You need to check with the makers of the
software about their programs supporting XP before you try and upgrade.

If you have questions about specific older programs, post their
names here.

Yes. XP does have a restriction that it will not format a FAT 32
partition bigger than 32GB, and while it will use bigger ones, I would
not use one for the system.

Probably, but it is difficult to be certain. Some things for 98 have
made assumptions about things like specific registry structures that
will not work with either. But the Program compatibility wizard in XP
is a help on most other ones
