Install winxp over win2000

I get the message "Setup cannot locate the Windows
installation you want to upgrade" whenver I attempt to
install winxp (or reinstall win2k) to my current win2k
installation. I tried everything in article - 242066. No
help. The current win2k is working. The system drive is
D: The boot.ini on C: does point to the D drive. Don't
want to do fresh install.
Any ideas? Thanks.

You'll need Windows XP Professional retail upgrade version in order to
upgrade over Windows 2000.
