Since your C drive is NTFS, you'll need to use a 3rd party boot manager, such as BootIt Next Generation (www.bootitng.com) or PQ Boot (part of Partition Magic).

Win98 does not support an NTFS file system. Do you have more than one
partition or Hard Drive?

If you have applications and the partition is NTFS then Win98 is not an
option as it only supports FAT32. A third party utility like Partition magic
may (and I say may) be able to make a third bootable partition by taking
space from your D and possibly C partitions. What is the size of your hard
drive and how much free space is on each partition.

my hard drive is 80GB free space in d drive is 5GB and in C drive is 40 GB

Well you might have enough free space on the C partition to create another
partition. I would think that taking 15GB from C would give you enough to
run Win98 and a limited number of applications. This would leave 25GB free
for Windows XP.

But as I said, you will need a utility to do this or the only other
alternative is to wipe the C partition and start all over 'Not a very good
choice' and not recommended except as a last resort as you will lose Windows
XP and all your installed applications, which then must be re-installed.

If you decide to go forward ALWAYS make a backup (Image backup of the C
drive) just in case things done work out as expected.
