other drive (D,E...)
How can I install w2000 so all the app. programs installed in w98 woul
be automaticaly accessible in w2000 (without re/instaling it in w2000)

Question 1. It can be placed on the same partition or drive BUT you will
probably be back here numerous times to sort the resultant mess.

Question 2. There is no guaranty that Windows98 programs will even run
in Windows 2000, even with "reinstalling".

You can install Win2000 on drive C: or on any other drive, as
long as you refrain from converting drive C: to NTFS.

You must re-install each and every application under Win2000.
If you don't, most of them will not run properly. Creating just a
shortcut is insufficient in most cases.
