install/uninstall problem

please be patient as this is the long version! while playing war of the ring
online, i bumped my router power plug and it shut down. i plugged it back in
and it came on but my game was desyncing or something, i could chat again but
the game locked up. so i con/alt/del to task man. and end the program. back
in the game, i had 2 "ghost" players, a typical issue for the game. they
normally clear on their own. to let them drop privately with no interuptions,
i host a private game. unsuccessful, i reboot the game again. now everytime i
try to join or host a game i had the messege telling me the game was private.
it was some kind of bug. i could not eliminate this messege and couldn't play
so i decide to uninstall/reinstall the game. the game is not totally
uninstalling apparently. when i try to reinstall from the cd-rom, the
"install" tab is not lit. it will not auto run either. i only have the option
of uninstall which i have tried 3 times. at this point i am now lost! any
ideas on how to uninstall and reinstall this poor game? i had also tried a
defrag somewhere in there trying to get lucky. please help, lol.

Here's how to uninstall a game, especially tricky ones:

Step A: In Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs, remove the game and then delete the game's folder especially if you previously
experienced problems with a patch, or if you installed the Trial, Mods, NO CD patches, etc.

Note: Click Start to Search or Find your game. Many times there are two installs
of the same game on a system and the patch installs to the wrong one. Also if you
installed a Trial version of the game, this could be causing a conflict.. Uninstall it
and delete the folder.

Step B: Reinstall the game to the same folder and try uninstalling it

Step C: Install and Run Regcleaner and if it finds any stray registry keys for the
game, delete them. Reboot your computer, and then re-install the game.

ok i have performed the regclean and found a few old keys etc. and have
deleted them in three stages according to potential damage,lol. after each i
tried to install again but still the tab is not present on the install screen
only the uninstall. how can i install this now? should i use a command in the
run box? and it is? lol.
