1. During the install I selected to not want automatic
scans at 2AM. However, after the install, when I dug into
the details the scheduled scan at 2AM was enabled.

2. On the scheduling page, this UI is awful. It was very
non-intuitive on how to not run a scheduled scan. At
first I tried unselecting all the days and got an error
that I had to select something. Then right above the
Update button I found the "Disable scheduling" checkbox.
This should be much more obvious.
